TROPHIES, AWARDS & WINNERSWho Gives a S#!~ Anyway? - The WGASA CUP   The "WGASA CUP" was donated by the WGASA hounds in the Memory of Jack McManus. This trophy is open to all hounds participating in the THLC's July 4th Trials. It is for the best hound of the weekend. To qualify to enter to win the WGASA CUP the hound must have competed both days of the weekend, 1) winning a BOB one day, and 2) a earning a qualifying score the other day. On Sunday, a random draw amongst all the qualifying hounds is conducted for the WGASA CUP run-offs. This is a perpetual trophy for all July 4th Trials to come! WGASA 2007 - On Sunday, July 8, 2007 there were 5 hounds competing for the WGASA. But then Deuce the Whippet blew a pad. :>( . So we than were left with 2 Ridgeback's (Storm & Wrigley), 1 Borzoi (Raven) and 1 Whippet (Samantha). There were 2 judges scoring and THE WINNER IS Samantha the Whippet FC WGASA SAM I AM CAMPE, LCM owned by Pete and Camille Mendicino (pictured below)! Which really is exciting for this fabulous weekend to end with a WGASA hound actually winning the trophy. Hopefully many more will follow! Submitted by Nancy Ewing.    |
